THE VIROMISE FIELD GUIDE

Move the number, not the uncertainty

Prepare the handover before you start.

01

The receiving carrier

Check both number eligibility and phone compatibility. Decide whether you are keeping the device and whether it needs an unlock. A phone number and a physical phone are separate parts of the move.

02

The departing account

Obtain the required account identifier and current transfer credential through official channels. Check whether a security restriction needs an authorized change. Do not send those credentials to this website.

03

During the transfer

Follow the receiving provider’s instructions and retain access to the old line. If a request stalls, ask for its exact status or rejection reason. Repeating requests with slightly different information can make the problem harder to resolve.

04

Afterward

Test incoming calls, outgoing calls, SMS and data. Confirm what happened to voicemail and any connected watches or tablets. Then review the old provider’s final statement rather than assuming every obligation ended with the port.
